Quickstart

About this version

These pages document ZigTSDB v1.6.1, the image published as ghcr.io/samisoftb/zigtsdb:1.6.1, and apply to every 1.6.x release. The latest path always points at the newest published line. Keys and tiers are covered on the License page.

What changed in 1.6. Client authentication is on by default: a single node bootstraps its own credential and a cluster requires a shared TSDB_AUTH_SECRET (quickstart); tokens can be refreshed and revoked, and the secret rotates with no downtime (Authentication & tokens). The daily ingest meter for a cluster runs at the dispatcher, once per point. zigtsdb-cli sends a credential on every command and exits non-zero on failure (CLI).
